Gabriel Levesque began his career in public schools as a teacher at Nokomis Regional High School before taking a job in administration at Cony High School and ultimately becoming the Director of Mid-Maine Technical Center. Mr. Levesque is responsible for the management of personnel, finances, and curriculum for Mid-Maine Technical Center.
Stew Brittner began his career in public education in 1994, teaching high school biology for several years before transitioning into school administration. He was a high school assistant principal for 19 years before becoming the Assistant Director at Mid-Maine Technical Center. He is responsible for student services, marketing, and supports the Director in the general management of the Technical Center
Kimberly Waite holds a Master's of Science Degree in Education from Saint Joseph's College of Maine. Mrs. Waite assists the Director with the financial operation of the school and teaches dual college credit courses through Kennebec Valley Community College.
Dana Champagne is responsible for daily attendance reporting, grade reporting, assisting the student services coordinator in organizing student recognition, NTHS, and helping students with enrollment and other issues.

Craig Smiley
Craig Smiley earned an Associate's Degree in Applied Science and Automotive Technology from Central Maine Community College in 2008 after completing two years of the Automotive Technology program at MMTC. While a student at MMTC, Craig was inducted into the National Technical Honor Society and twice represented MMTC at the SkillsUSA Maine Championships.
Craig has worked as an automotive technician at Central Maine Motors in Waterville and has earned his Master's Automobile, Advanced Level Specialist, General Motors Master Certification and Undercar Specialist Certifications through ASE. He is also certified through the Red Cross in CPR and has served as a volunteer firefighter for the town of Vassalboro since 2006.
Jason Whittemore
Jason Whittemore holds an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Architectural and Building Engineering Technology and is certified as a NCCER Core Curricula Instructor and an OSHA General Industry Outreach Trainer. He is also the chairperson of the school’s safety committee.
Chris Spear
Chris Spear is the CTE Academy instructor. He has over 30 years of teaching experience.
Mr. Spear is a former middle school teacher, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from University of Maine at Farmington. He has taught just about every subject, primarily focused on math and science. He also developed an engineering program which he taught for the last 6 years.
Mr. Spear has had extensive construction experience and has worked for Belgrade Lakes Conservation Corps.
Drew Jones
Drew Jones is the Culinary Arts instructor here at Mid-Maine Technical Center. Chef Jones is an alumni of MMTC, being inducted into the National Technical Honor Society during his time here, and went on to graduate from Southern Maine Community College with a degree in Culinary Arts. After college, Chef Jones went on to work in many different restaurants from being a chef at Camp Manitou in Oakland, to Colby College, to his most recent position before returning to MMTC as the General Manager of Portland Pie here in Waterville.
Steve MacCallum
Steve MacCallum is the Criminal Justice instructor. He has 27 years of experience as a law enforcement officer. He began his career as a Campus Police Officer at Bentley College in Massachusetts. Steve retired from the Lewiston Police Department as a Sergeant after over 25 years of service. As a Lewiston Patrol Officer, Steve served as a field training officer, as the department’s Child Emergency Response Coordinator and as a Special Agent with the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency. Upon being promoted to Detective, Steve investigated a wide variety of crimes, including homicides, suicides, sexual assaults, robberies, child abuse, fraud, and arsons. Steve spent over six years with the the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Joint Terrorism Task Force and, among other cases, worked on the Boston Marathon bombing investigation.
Steve has also served as an adjunct professor of Criminal Justice at Andover College and Southern Maine Community College.
He holds a Bachelor's Degree from Curry College in Massachusetts, a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from Boston University, and a Certificate of Special Studies in Administration and Management from Harvard University.
Marsha Demers
Marsha Demers is the Early Childhood Education instructor. She holds a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Maine at Farmington. Mrs. Demers is responsible for providing instruction and student support.
Howard Nelson
Howard Nelson has 40+ years of experience in the mechanical trades. He has also held licenses in 5 mechanical trades. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and experiences with any willing to listen and learn.
Abigail McMahon
Abigail McMahon has been a Paramedic for 12 years and has taught Emergency Services at MMTC previously, she returns after a short hiatus so she and her husband could start a family. Abigail has experience working at private EMS, fire based EMS and hospital based EMS systems, along with working at Maine's largest level one Trauma Center, Maine Medical Center, activating appropriate trauma, stroke and cardiac teams within the hospital for arriving patients. Abigail has been the recipient of "Top Responder" and "Paramedic of the Year" awards for excellent patient care and dedication to the profession.
Jeremiah Johnson is a graduate of Kennebec Valley Community College with an AAS in Applied Electronics & Computer Technology.
He is currently Enrolled at Champlain College pursuing his Bachelors in Digital Forensics.
His experience includes adjunct Instructor at KVCC, teaching a range of technology subjects including Windows Server, Linux and Mobile Devices, CompTIA A+, and Windows Client. Mr. Johnson has extensive experience in support for both desktop computers as well as servers and extensive networks.

Dave Boardman
Dave Boardman is the Mass Media Communications instructor. He is a National Board Certified Teacher, holds a Doctorate in Education from the University of Maine, and is a working documentary filmmaker and photographer.
Dr. Boardman has been awarded the Apple Distinguished Educator and Maine Instructional Technology Teacher of the Year, and the Lawrence O'Toole Teacher Leadership Award. He is Adobe certified, and was nominated for Emmy Awards in 2017, 2018, and 2019. Dr. Boardman teaches students professional video production skills as they create documentaries and promotional videos throughout the region. Instruction is hands-on, and includes planning, scripting, shooting, lighting, and editing, as well as creating special effects. Students enter their projects in several film festivals and contests each year, and their work has been televised nationally and is often used by local nonprofits and communities to promote the area.
Alanna St. Amand holds a Bachelor’s degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, and Natural Resource Management from the University of Maine, Orono. She is a certified Maine Recreation and Level II Whitewater Guide; and is a Wilderness First Responder. With extensive experience as an outdoor guide, Alanna led a variety of wilderness expeditions and introductory whitewater kayaking programs during her academic and post secondary years.

Darrin Morgan is the Precision Machining instructor. He has more than 20 years of experience in the machining field. Darrin attended Capital Area Technical Center for Precision Machining Technology, and continued on to study machining for two years at Eastern Maine Community College. Since college, Darrin has held positions including CNC Machinist, Lead Jig and Fixture Technician, and Tooling Detailer. Darrin has served on local safety committees, has earned a Train-the-Trainer certification through Maine Metal Products, and is certified through OSHA for General Industry.

Dale Burbank
Dale Burbank is a graduate of The United States Military Academy with a BS in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Aerospace. He also holds a graduate certificate from Tufts University’s Teacher Engineering Education Program.
Mr. Burbank’s experience includes teaching science and a 23-year career as an active-duty US Army officer, trainer, and helicopter pilot. He has served in numerous positions and overseas deployments to include senior US equipment advisor to the Iraqi Army Aviation Command. Over his career, Mr. Burbank has worked on the fielding of cutting edge technology including helicopters to unmanned drones.
Tracy Cloutier
Tracy Cloutier has been a registered nurse for more than a decade, and has taught the Pre-Nursing Program at MMTC since 2016. Formerly a registered nurse in the Surgical Unit at MaineGeneral Medical Center, she is a recipient of the Daisy Award for exemplary nursing care. Prior to teaching at MMTC, she was an assistant director of nurses and the staff development educator at Klearview Manor Nursing Home in Fairfield.

Shirley Brook
Media and Marketing Coordinator
Brook holds a Bachelor's Degree in Art from Rhode Island College and has prior work experience as an artist, teacher, and school volunteer. Ms. Brook is responsible for designing and printing publications, assists with photography and video marketing projects, and helps the office with developing press releases and maintaining a social media presence. Ms. Brook also serves as the Assistant Coach for the Robotics Team and provides Ed Tech support in the Information Technology, Construction Technology and Precision Machining programs.
Joel Dyer
Technology and Testing Coordinator
Mr. Dyer holds an Associate's Degree in Communications from the New England School of Communications and has prior work experience as a travel agent and machine operator. Mr. Dyer is responsible for managing and maintaining the school’s technology and for coordinating all student certification testing.
Mr. Dyer provides Ed Tech support in Emergency Services, Mass Media Communications and Pre-Nursing and programs.
Amanda (Carlow) Paine
Administrative Services Assistant
Ms. Paine is a Master-at-Arms in the United States Navy and has prior work experience as a preschool teacher and corrections officer. An MMTC alum, Ms. Paine is a member of the National Technical Honor Society and represented MMTC at the National Skills-USA Championships following her senior year. Ms. Paine is responsible for assisting with school activities, student organizations, and special events and for coordinating coverage for absent staff. Ms. Paine also provides Ed Tech support to Automotive Technology, Electrical Technology and Outdoor Leadership programs.

Student Transitions Coordinator
Michelle Still is the Student Transitions Coordinator at Mid-Maine Technical Center. Michelle is an alumni of MMTC, being inducted into the National Technical Honor Society during her time here, and went on to graduate from Eastern Maine Technical College with a degree in Early Childhood Education. After college, Michelle started and ran her own home based childcare program for 12 years before becoming a substitute teacher, later becoming an Educational Technician for RSU 18 before joining us here at MMTC.
